What is GVI
An internship that fits into your laptop.
The QGF Global Virtual Internship is a structured, remote work-experience programme. You'll be matched with professional coaches from companies across the country and globe to support real projects - anywhere from social-media campaigns and market research, to full business strategy, website design, financial assessments and product usability testing.
We run virtual internships across every major career field, with placements supported by an alumni network of professionals at thousands of leading organisations. Whether you're targeting a prestigious multinational, a fast-moving SME, or an entrepreneurial start-up, GVI gives you a route in.
Joining GVI gives you more than work experience. Every cohort includes:

The programme
Five modules. Twelve weeks.
The GVI curriculum is delivered as five sequential modules, each building on the previous one. You'll close the programme with a real client recommendation and a clear plan for what's next.
Market research
How to get up to speed on a new topic quickly. You'll learn the practical research workflow that consultants use on day one of a new client engagement.
Data analysis
From data to insight. You'll build, validate and interpret a working financial model, then compare your work with real model solutions produced by the GVI team.
Understanding consumer needs
Uncovering needs and resolving trade-offs. You'll translate raw customer signals into prioritised product or service decisions.
Client recommendation
Putting it all together. You'll synthesise the previous four weeks into a single, defensible recommendation - and present it the way a real consultant would.
Next steps
Getting alignment. You'll close the project, secure your reference letter, and walk away with a concrete plan for how to convert the GVI experience into your next role.

QGF Global Portfolio Challenge - Student Ambassador Programme

The QGF Global Portfolio Challenge is a worldwide, team-based simulated investment competition open to all undergraduate and graduate students. Since its inception, the programme has expanded its reach to more than 100 universities across six continents. How to put GVI on your CV and LinkedIn.
On successful completion of any GVI programme, you may reference it on your CV and LinkedIn profile in line with the following policy.
1. CV policy
- List GVI under the Extracurricular activities section of your CV.
- Alternatively, identify it as a Certification or Achievement.
- Use the wording "[Company] Virtual Experience Program Participant - Year of completion - approximate hours".
- List the specific tasks you completed (e.g. Task A, Task B, Task C).
- Do not list a GVI programme as paid work experience or employment.
2. LinkedIn policy
- Add GVI under the Licenses & Certifications section of your LinkedIn profile.
- Name: Virtual Experience Program Participant.
- Issuing Organisation: the host organisation you completed your GVI with.
- Credential ID: your unique GVI enrolment verification code.
