Global connections
Networking is vital to any global career. GVI is built to expand your professional network worldwide - all from your own home, starting with your LinkedIn profile.
Call it what you will - remote internship, virtual internship, online internship, telecommuting. It all means the same thing: you complete a real project from your own laptop, alongside professional coaches working at some of the world's leading organisations.
The QGF Global Virtual Internship is a structured, remote work-experience programme. You'll be matched with professional coaches from companies across the country and globe to support real projects - anywhere from social-media campaigns and market research, to full business strategy, website design, financial assessments and product usability testing.
We run virtual internships across every major career field, with placements supported by an alumni network of professionals at thousands of leading organisations. Whether you're targeting a prestigious multinational, a fast-moving SME, or an entrepreneurial start-up, GVI gives you a route in.
Joining GVI gives you more than work experience. Every cohort includes:
Every GVI participant leaves with concrete, named skills that hiring managers actively look for in 2026.
Networking is vital to any global career. GVI is built to expand your professional network worldwide - all from your own home, starting with your LinkedIn profile.
Remote working demands high self-discipline. A virtual internship is the ideal way to sharpen those habits and put them on your CV before your next interview.
Hybrid and remote work are here to stay. GVI teaches the platform fluency, asynchronous communication and ownership that distributed teams need.
Unlike a typical online course, GVI lets you choose your working language and exposes you to teammates and coaches from a different cultural and professional context.
The GVI curriculum is delivered as five sequential modules, each building on the previous one. You'll close the programme with a real client recommendation and a clear plan for what's next.
How to get up to speed on a new topic quickly. You'll learn the practical research workflow that consultants use on day one of a new client engagement.
From data to insight. You'll build, validate and interpret a working financial model, then compare your work with real model solutions produced by the GVI team.
Uncovering needs and resolving trade-offs. You'll translate raw customer signals into prioritised product or service decisions.
Putting it all together. You'll synthesise the previous four weeks into a single, defensible recommendation - and present it the way a real consultant would.
Getting alignment. You'll close the project, secure your reference letter, and walk away with a concrete plan for how to convert the GVI experience into your next role.
Pick the track that matches your target career - three in Finance, three in Strategy & Product. Each track is built around a real client brief and walks you through the work the role does on day one.
Build a full investment thesis: company deep-dive, sector landscape, financial model, valuation and an investment committee-ready pitch deck.
Work through a live M&A or restructuring brief. Model the capital structure, size the financial and operational implications, defend the recommendation.
Step into a Big-Four-style advisory workflow: cross-jurisdictional tax planning, compliance review and a client-ready advisory deliverable.
Define a market-entry or new-venture brief end to end: competitive landscape, sizing, business model, financial projections and an investor narrative.
Run the full internet product lifecycle: user research, PRD, prioritisation, launch and post-launch iteration alongside a real product team.
Build a brand and growth plan: positioning, channel mix, content strategy and the metrics framework that turns awareness into qualified leads.
Every GVI participant who completes the programme receives a formal letter of recognition from QGF Limited - and we publish a small sample of the letters our partner employers have written about our alumni.
Re: Steven Jiang, Tsinghua University
To whom it may concern,
We are pleased to confirm that during the Spring 2026 edition of the QGF Global Portfolio Challenge, Steven Jiang served as the Student Ambassador for the programme at Tsinghua University, working alongside the QGF programme office throughout the six-month competition.
The QGF Global Portfolio Challenge is a worldwide, team-based simulated investment competition open to all undergraduate and graduate students. Since its inception, the programme has expanded its reach to more than 100 universities across six continents. The steady growth of the Challenge owes a great deal to the contribution of our campus Student Ambassadors, who raise awareness on their campuses, support fellow participants, and help drive engagement across the global student community.
Through his engagement with students, faculty members and university societies, Steven made a clear and discernible impact as a Student Ambassador. He demonstrated the ability to carry out his responsibilities both independently and in close collaboration with our team, and was consistently a reliable point of contact between the QGF programme office and his campus cohort.
These qualities of initiative, communication and follow-through have made Steven a successful Student Ambassador, and we are confident that they will continue to serve him well as he moves into his professional career.
Please don't hesitate to reach the QGF programme office on +852 2601 5555 or at program@qgf.org if you have any questions about Steven's involvement or about the QGF Global Portfolio Challenge.
